Virtual C2C- August 11th, 2020 -  Professional Learning Day (+ additional session on August 12th)

We know that it can be challenging to prepare for the beginning of the 2020- 2021 year with many unknowns and many elements that are still evolving. Our goal is to work together to provide support, share resources, best practices, and space and time to continually learn and grow.

We will continue to utilize our Virtual C2C (Colleague to Colleague) Professional Learning model for our August 11th, 2020 Professional Learning sessions and throughout the 2020-2021 school year.

Virtual C2C sessions will take place online and you will be able to sign up based on your interests and needs. This invitation is open to all certificated and classified staff.

If you have not already done so, you may want to fill out the 2020 Fall Professional Learning Needs & Interests Survey + Presenter Recruitment to let us know the topics in which you are interested or what you may want to present/share.

Additional, Self-paced Sessions-
In addition to the synchronous, presenter-led sessions listed below, we also have a number of recorded workshops and tutorials.

PLEASE NOTE-
We know that some of the Aug 11th sessions are full even though we opened additional seats. We cannot open an unlimited number of seats as many of the sessions are designed to be interactive, workshop format sessions. The Aug 11th PD is also compressed into the AM part of the day and limited to three time slots to allow sites and staff members flexibility in what is delivered or made available on the site or department level.
We did add two extra sessions on August 12th in the afternoon:
  • An additional Zoom II session, and
  • Managing Uncertainty - Self-care for Educators
In addition, some of the presenters will be recording their sessions and presentation materials will also be shared and posted on the MUSD C2C website so that those individuals who were unable to attend their top choices on the 11th (or 12th) will have the opportunity to watch the recordings and review the presentations at their convenience.

The August 11th and 12th will also not be the only days that PD will be available - additional professional learning opportunities will be added throughout the school year and especially during the first several weeks.
